Research project based on a series of video-creations that represent processes of ephemeral character on supports conceived in a block of ice, whose drawings or symbols painted with Chinese ink, reflect a fluid mutation until its definitive eclipse. These materials used, coming from nature and therefore final, come to symbolize the necessarily fleeting nature of existence in time.
David Mata has collaborated for the series EXPANDED TIME and in an exclusive way, TRANSFIGURES an emotional combination from new sound textures and using techniques such as object manipulation and digital synthesis. His interest for this project focuses on investigating, exploring and drawing attention to background noise and the sounds that surround them with microtextual tactile material and sudden pauses that generate expectations.
