Modified Gravity reflects on the duality of contemplating the universe between admiration and fear, through the experiences of Wilhelm Meister and Victor Hugo in observing the stars. The connection between the celestial and sublunar world is highlighted, along with the possibility of a “universal harmony” through reflection on the stories and etymologies related to desire and observation of the cosmos.
It is presented as an exhibition in the chapel of the Convalecencia Building in Murcia, composed of a sphere in the center of the room, two vertical pillars, and a set of stones, which are interpreted as a celestial dimension in contrast to the earthly one. The artwork focuses on the idea of an eternal energy that runs through the universe, showing the oscillations of a nucleus full of life.
